Circulation declines 12.1 percent for Detroit Free Press, 10 percent for The Detroit News

Weekday and Sunday circulation of Detroit’s two daily newspapers has sharply declined in the past six months.

Circulation of the Detroit Free Press’ flagship Sunday edition fell 12.1 percent — or nearly twice the national average for Sunday decline — to 511,742 from 582,418 for the six months ending March 31, according to a report released Monday by the Audit Bureau of Circulations.
