Boston Globe talks ‘remain stagnant’

Another round of negotiations was held Tuesday, the same day the Times Co. largely blamed the Globe for its company-wide $74.5 million first-quarter loss. The Times also rejected the Guild’s request to make negotiations public.

One sticking point is that the Times wants the Guild to give up lifetime job guarantees and wants a one-time round of layoffs without seniority considerations.
