Newspaper in Boise cuts 25 workers to save costs

The publisher of the Idaho Statesman says the newspaper is laying off 25 employees and imposing salary cuts in another round of cost cutting.

At least one Boise broadcaster also announced cuts. KTVB-TV said Monday it is laying off full-time employee and one part-time worker.

Statesman publisher Mi-Ai Parrish says the layoffs will effect several departments, but she declined to give specifics.

The McClatchy-owned newspaper also announced salary cuts.
