Last edition of Seattle P-I sold out

Back issues of the last edition of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer produced for Tuesday morning are sold out.

"We have about just about 270 voice mails that are backed up, and we have only about about 80 papers left not claimed," said Seattle Times advertising training coordinator Pam Thomas on Wednesday. "Any new messages coming in, we're saying we're sold out."

The Times handled print and distribution for both Seattle papers. Thomas said she and her colleague, Pat Martinez, began telling hopefuls the supply was dry at 10 a.m.

The Times had 50 bundles of back issues when the edition went to print, but each bundle had 50 newspapers, not 10 or 11, as she estimated Tuesday.
