Changing landscape of journalism

A vote of confidence from a Kansas City Star reader:

My family has subscribed to The Star (and the former Kansas City Times) since the early 1900s. Today’s economy and the Internet have forever changed the journalistic landscape. Neither diminishes the invaluable service our hometown paper provides. For many of my generation, the clutch and smell of newsprint is preferable to the glare and click of the computer. Change (and occasional increased subscription rates) may be inevitable.

Given The Star’s longevity and civic importance, I would hope it continues to keep us in the know for many years to come.
