Changing, but not dying

Bill Phillips writes:

Things continue to change. When I started in this business, I typed my stories on an electric typewriter (there were still some at the paper who were using manual typewriters). I would check my stories over and make corrections using a language that is almost now forgotten (two little lines under a letter meant it should be capitalized, a strike through meant change it to lower case, a P with two stems meant new paragraph, SP written through a word meant it was spelled wrong, etc.)
