The Forum cuts jobs

North Dakota's largest newspaper said it has eliminated 21 jobs, or 9 percent of its work force, because of declining advertising revenue.

"Like all businesses, we are not immune to the effects of the economy we find ourselves in," The Forum's general manager, James Boberg, said Tuesday.

The Fargo newspaper's financial position is solid and its print and Internet products remain strong, but the paper must respond to a recent decline in ad sales, Boberg said.
