Daily Record to outsource printing

Daily Record Publisher Matt Davison announced today that the paper will close its printing production facility effective mid-March.

The Ellensburg newspaper will outsource all printing and packaging of its print edition to the Yakima Herald-Republic, a subsidiary of the Seattle Times. The Daily Record is an afternoon paper Monday through Friday and its Saturday edition is a morning paper. The Herald-Republic is a morning paper.

Six Daily Record FTE employees will be laid off as a result of the move and the economy.
