Newspapers deserve a bailout from Hollywood

Thanks to newspapers, Hollywood has enjoyed easier storytelling for the past 75 years. Why add another week to a movie shoot when the action can be summed up in one shot of someone walking by and looking at a newspaper's banner headline?

With the Web taking over how people receive their news, there are still movies in the 21st century cineplexes that tell the prologue via a montage of newspaper headlines, photographs and articles.
