Media industry affected by global crisis

In a world driven by the third generation network (3G), high definition flat-screen televisions and credit card-sized multifunctional mobile phones; one is left to wonder if people still pick up a good "ole" newspaper. The truth of the matter is, it depends on the "world" you live in.

The media industry in the first world nation of the US has been faced with an increasingly precipitous decline in advertising revenue throughout 2008. However, in Jamaica we are not seeing as sharp a decline in these revenues.
