Changes following Sunday discontinuation

Editor Paul Berton writes about changes following the last edition of the Sunday edition of the London Free Press:

Most of these changes are the result of the discontinuation of our Sunday edition of The London Free Press, which ended last week, so we've tried to package as much of that Sunday material in today's paper, a Weekend Edition.

The new sections also contain new material.

Some of the material from Sunday's editions, particularly sports and local news, will appear in Monday's papers.

The Sunday paper was little more than a decade old. That's barely more than a blip in the more than 150-year-old history of The London Free Press.

Advertising was never exactly robust, which meant it was always our smallest newspaper of the week. And it had the smallest number of readers.
