AJC to pull circulation, distribution to county

It's a grim prognosis for the state's leading newspaper.

In an effort to reduce operating costs, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and parent company Cox Enterprises, has elected to cutback circulation and distribution to 22 counties (19 near-metro counties in Georgia), including Morgan.

"'Like many other media companies, the AJC faces unprecedented economic challenges. We are committed to making our operations as efficient as possible, and these changes support that goal,'" AJC Senior Vice President of Operations Robert W. Eickhoff said, according to a press release.
